Vogue Completes Interior for Harbourside’s Seabrook Model

Vogue Interiors announced that award-winning designers Leslie Gebert, Allied Member, ASID and Sheila Corasaniti, IDS have completed the interior design for Harbourside Custom Homes’ furnished Seabrook model at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club. The 3,382-square foot single-story Seabrook great room floor plan includes three bedrooms plus a bonus room that can be used as a fourth bedroom, four-and-a-half baths plus a pool bath, a study, a spacious island kitchen and dining area, and a three-car garage. The great room and dining space open to an outdoor living area with a fireplace, summer kitchen, conversation and dining areas, and a pool and spa.

Gebert and Corasaniti have created an interior that offers an easy elegance with free-flowing organic comfort. A combination of textural materials and fresh white backgrounds is punctuated by beige, taupe, and grey tones and by judiciously placed chocolate accents. Wood-look porcelain tile flooring in the living areas is presented in a soft ivory tone to continue the design’s light, bright feeling.

Upon entry, visitors will immediately be struck by the Seabrook’s elegant foyer that conveys a sense of soft light and spacious symmetry. An upholstered wall feature blends a natural leather texture with metallic pearlescent tones highlighted by dramatic bronze sconce lighting fixtures. Above, a chandelier is suspended from a vaulted ceiling and accentuates the airy ambiance that defines the design motif.

A wide hallway leads to the living area where elaborate exposed beam ceilings, including a dramatic vaulted ceiling with floating beams in the kitchen, create one of the home’s few darker color references. Natural textures and modern metallic elements combine to provide a mix of soft and hard accents. The great room’s feature wall is divided into three niches with metallic taupe wallpaper backgrounds. The center niche hosts a decorative wooden media cabinet finished in a textured dark taupe with a television and floating shelving above. The two flanking niches feature opposing abstract art pieces that capture the design’s color pallet. A soft white woven fabric sofa facing the feature wall is accented by decorative pillows that also reflect the home’s color palette. Two wooden framed leather side chairs done in a medium brown color sit adjacent to the sofa and feature decorative pillows covered with a geometric pattern in light taupe and warm chocolate tones. A transitional fully-upholstered tweed swivel chair presented in a light taupe color is also included. The furnishings are grouped around a traditional 55-inch circular Asian chow-style walnut cocktail table set atop an exquisite Oriental rug that is one of the room’s most memorable elements. Bamboo fibers bring a captivating sheen to the rug’s muted white, light taupe, beige and grey tones. An additional natural element is provided by a decorative table covered in textured petrified wood. Open weave sheer fabric window treatments bring an additional sense of lightness and texture to the space.

A wet bar situated adjacent to the great room and kitchen features contemporary metal cabinetry in a dark tone with oversized hardware and softly backlighted cubbies that display delicate ivory art pieces. The bar’s quartzite counter surface plays against a backsplash that mixes glass and stone elements presented in taupe tones.

Rather than utilizing traditional overhead lighting in the kitchen, Gebert and Corasaniti incorporated recessed square LED lighting to create a soft ambient effect that does not detract from the dramatic vaulted ceiling and floating beam details. The island’s base cabinet mimics the bar’s dark contemporary metal cabinetry and is topped by a quartzite countertop with a waterfall edge. The lower cabinets along the perimeter are finished in a textured light taupe tone to compliment a quartzite counter surface and a backsplash that matches the wet bar’s glass and stone presentation. The upper cabinetry is finished in a contrasting darker taupe and includes open lighted cubbies at the top that display soft white accessories.

The dark, exposed beam ceiling detail continues in the dining area. A stunning 96-inch oval dining table with a glass top sitting on a structural metal base provides a design highlight. Replicating shafts of wheat gathered for the harvest, the base immediately catches and holds the eye. The table is surrounded by eight walnut finished wood framed chairs covered with a taupe-toned woven fabric. Overhead, a unique lighting fixture includes a series of blown-glass orbs with an amber finish accentuated by dozens of blue glass insets. Ninety-degree pocketing sliders allow two walls of the dining space to be fully opened to the lanai and outdoor living area.

To provide the home with an element of flexibility, the study is designed to accommodate a king-sized bed that disappears into a cabinet on one of the walls. The bed cabinet is flanked by decorative mirror treatments and sconces. Warm, taupe-toned cabinetry with a quartz top runs the length of the opposite wall and serves as a desk. A window height trim detail is set around the perimeter of the room. The wall space above the trim is finished with a taupe vinyl wall-covering that looks like silk. The walls below the trim are painted a deeper shade of taupe. Linen draperies with soft taupe and white patterns complete the look.

A hallway in the master suite is outfitted with two full-length mirrors and serves as a dressing area located just outside the suite’s two walk-in closets. The bedroom is finished in varying tones of white. A linear upholstered bed features a dimensional headboard covered in a pearlescent ivory vinyl designed to incorporate four wide vertical channels. The headboard wall is covered with taupe-toned textural moiré wallpaper that has a bit of a contemporary feeling. Dark walnut nightstands with mirrored drawers flank the bed. Three large graduated walnut chests serve as an anchor for a dramatic tryptic art display. A contemporary acrylic chandelier and oversized mercury lamps on the nightstands illuminate the space.

The master bath’s porcelain tile flooring is complimented by a taupe wall-covering with sparkling champagne flecks. The vanity cabinetry is light white and topped by a quartz countertop. The rectangular walk-in shower features three clear story windows separated by a stone and glass tile detail set in a chevron pattern. A chandelier is suspended from the ceiling in front of a free-standing tub situated by a window.

The outdoor kitchen features warm espresso cabinetry with a light cream granite countertop. A full granite backsplash highlights the grill wall. A white contemporary dining table with a glass top is surrounded by eight modern woven chairs done in a chocolate brown. An oversized chocolate brown sectional sofa is centered in front of a linear fireplace and is complimented by an ottoman tray table. To the left of the fireplace, recessed niches are finished with large chocolate brown panels with geometric design accents.
