VOGUE’s Donna Overly, ASID, CAP’s approach to design is brilliant in its simplicity. “A well-designed room,” says Donna, “should please the eye and stimulate the mind, as well as welcome and excite you.” With over 35 years of interior design experience in both the United States and abroad, Donna should know. She founded VOGUE Interiors in 1979 and specializes in the creation of captivating spaces for private residences, commercial spaces, and yachts. Donna has served on the Board of Directors and as a vice president of the American Society of Interior Designers, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce.
Donna’s natural curiosity and passion for design have generated an on-going desire to expand her already extensive repertoire. That desire has led her to participate in a wide array of professional level design programs, seminars and symposiums all over the world. She has studied French Décor, Architecture and Furniture in Provence, France; the wonders of Italian Classic Design through examinations of a Venetian palazzo, a Palladian villa and Renaissance Florence in Italy; and the History of French Classical Architecture and Interior Design in Paris. Donna has also broadened her considerable design knowledge and expertise through participation in programs that addressed Textile Appreciation; Environmentally Compatible Interiors and Materials; Understanding American Architecture; Space and Scale; and Historic Preservation. Donna brings her wealth of knowledge and design experience to every project she undertakes and serves as a shining example to the entire VOGUE staff of what a genuine passion for design is all about.
