A chandelier emphasizes more of the beautiful cascading glass. Two sofas include a two-cushion seat style with a light-toned performance fabric. Other furnishings include a bench seat with a black and brown woven pattern; two rectangular travertine cocktail tables; two circular stone end tables; square-armed swivel chairs in a cream and taupe stripe with a dark sand lumbar pillow; and small metallic pull up tables.

The dining area’s rectangular glass-top table features a linen fabric wrapped base that compliments the sloped-arm dining chairs with a cream-colored performance fabric. Visitors to the home are greeted in an open foyer with a soaring 13-foot tray ceiling that anchors a clear, smooth-edged chandelier that mimics sea glass.  All the colors included in the home’s palette are captured in a stunning area rug.  To one side of the foyer, a double-door entry leads to a study with a mushroom-toned built-in with four shelves on either side.  Furnishings include a natural wood tone oval shaped desk, a chrome and black leather desk chair, and a cream-toned barrel occasional chair.  The space is anchored by a taupe and grey area rug.

On the opposite side of the foyer, a formal dining room showcases a curved, x-base dining table with a champagne finished base and a griege wood top.  The dining chairs are upholstered in a coral fabric with a wave pattern.  The long wall of the space is graced by colorful artwork.  Just outside the dining room, a dry bar features an under-counter refrigerator, a Cambria Irons Ridge counter surface, and a Pesoro Dolomite finished backsplash.

The custom built-in in the center section of the great room’s feature wall is finished in a portabella tone and flanked by bumped-out columns with linear trim accents.  The built-in features three storage cabinets flanked by fixed panels.  The background of the center section is finished with taupe and white woven wallpaper.  A shelf is set above the television for accessories.  Furnishings in the great room include two sofas with dark cream fabric; occasional chairs done in a tightly woven taupe, coral, and off-white fabric; a square stone-topped table between the chairs; a circular off-white three-drawer end table; and a cocktail table with a golden pearlescent finish. 

The island base and perimeter cabinetry in the kitchen are also finished in a portabella tone.  The island’s counter surface is Pesoro Dolomite while the perimeter countertops will be finished with Cambria Irons Ridge.  Four counter stools and three overhead pendant lights are featured at the island.  The glass-topped table in the breakfast nook has a circular base made of whitewashed wood with natural grains that gives it a beachy feel.  The chairs include an off-white performance fabric and driftwood finished legs.

The bonus room is primarily finished in cream, grey, and coral tones.  A sectional sofa presents an inviting off-white textured material and is complimented by a cocktail table with a driftwood top and a champagne base.  A swivel side chair includes a loosely woven grey and white fabric.  One dark grey end table is diamond shaped.  The other has a seven-inch thick glass top.  The feature wall includes an open console with a charcoal finish.  A wet bar has a glass tile backsplash, an undercounter refrigerator, and cabinets with a portabella finish.

The king bed and headboard in the primary bedroom are fully upholstered in a tightly woven sand-toned fabric that plays against a headboard wall with off-white wallpaper with metallic silver speckles.  The bed is flanked by coffee-toned nightstands with charcoal metal trim.  A pair of ten-drawer chests are placed side-by-side to provide a 108” long chest unit.  A decorative bench at the end of the bed has champagne finished legs with marbled black and taupe fabric.  A double door leads to a private sitting area and the outdoor living area.

A dual vanity in the primary bath features maple cirrus finished cabinetry and an Agrigento marble counter surface.  The space includes a freestanding tub with a deck-mounted faucet.  The flooring is the soft cream, 30 by 30-inch porcelain tile flooring found elsewhere in the home.  Three by 3-inch Del Ray Alaska tile flooring has been used in the walk-in shower.  A wall is finished with the same tile and includes a Herra Mosaic accent.

DeMaria teamed up with Licensed Interior Designer, Ed Jordan, to tackle the home’s problem areas. Among them was the dark, enclosed kitchen, where a previously installed skylight tube did little to brighten the space. Additionally, a bay window at the foot of the stairs, adjacent to the kitchen, created an awkward, underutilized nook. The bathroom tub and shower needed modernization, along with much of the cabinetry. The lanai, cabana, and pool area needed a refresh. To bring the vision to life, Connor & Gaskins Unlimited came on board as the general contractor. With the team assembled, ideas began flowing, and soon a comprehensive plan took shape.

The redesign centered on creating a more open, inviting space. The main entry was relocated from the lanai to the bay window area at the base of the sleek new cable staircase, creating a proper vestibule. The existing entry door was replaced with a fixed window, which allowed for the removal of a large wall that previously separated the kitchen from the old foyer. To gain the necessary wall space for the refrigerator, an archway leading from the kitchen to the vestibule was closed off. The result was a bright, airy kitchen bathed in natural light. White cabinetry with sleek mini shaker doors is accented by brushed gold hardware, while softly illuminated upper glass cabinets display gold and white accessories. The countertops and backsplash, made of stunning porcelain with dramatic veining, add an elegant touch.

The great room’s new color palette of ivory, blue, and gold draws inspiration from a striking abstract oil painting. Plush leather recliners face a shellstone-clad media wall, where a 98” TV is mounted above a chic modern credenza with gold hardware. A custom area rug with blue swirls anchors the space beneath an oversized wood and iron cocktail table. Adjacent to the seating area, the dining space showcases the couple’s existing stone table, paired with contemporary swivel dining chairs. A modern LED light fixture and an accent mirror wall complete the room’s sophisticated ambiance.

In the primary bedroom, another bold abstract oil painting in ecru and charcoal tones inspired the space. The bed wall makes a dramatic statement with a built-in upholstered headboard extending to the ceiling, flanked by mirrored panels. Large geode lamps rest on sleek bedside chests, finished in a metallic dusted stain. A custom area rug mirrors the charcoal and lighter tones of the bedding and bench at the foot of the bed. The angled wall is paneled to frame a large television, while a striking charcoal ceiling fan with gold accents hangs above. Sheer side panels with gold beading add a final touch of glamour.

The primary bath exudes luxury, with large white porcelain tiles featuring subtle veining covering the floors and wainscoting. The newly enlarged shower boasts a wide band of gold accent tiles and brushed gold fittings. Beneath a gold and acrylic chandelier sits a dramatic soaking tub, while white porcelain countertops with gold veining top custom-stained floating cabinetry, enhanced by acrylic and gold hardware.

In the powder bath, a sleek, floating taupe lacquer vanity adds modern flair, complemented by handcrafted cork wallcovering in a taupe and gold finish. Heavy crystal pendants hang elegantly in front of a round forged iron mirror with gold accents, creating a stunning focal point.

Throughout the rest of the home, furnishings and finishes have been carefully updated to create a fresh, cohesive aesthetic. The lanai’s pavers were replaced with gleaming brushed shellstone, and the new textured stone privacy wall is now dramatically illuminated. The pool’s updated finish and new tilework complete the revitalized outdoor oasis.

The home’s exterior underwent a dramatic transformation as well. A new charcoal flat tile roof, ivory paint, and charcoal-finished garage doors give the façade a modern edge. Updated LED light fixtures, new pavers, and lush landscaping further enhanced the curb appeal. Thanks to these thoughtful changes, the couple can now enjoy their beautifully reimagined home for years to come.

The owners, looking to breathe new life into their dated condominium and create a glamorous, comfortable, practical, and timeless space, enlisted the professional help of
Heeb at the onset of the challenging project. At this time it was ascertained that the clients wanted to embrace a bold and modern black and gold color scheme. This decision was not only a nod to sophistication but also a way to make the condominium stand out from most beachfront interiors typically seen along the Gulf Coast. Black and gold, when done correctly, is a combination that exudes luxury, elegance, and refinement.

EECON Construction Services, having completed prior projects at Monaco Beach Club, was chosen for the construction elements of the extensive renovation. Heeb met with the builder to determine what could and could not be done structurally. Spaces were to be repurposed, and walls moved to improve functionality. Challenges such as eight-foot ceilings, nonrelocatable plumbing stacks and weight bearing columns were addressed. Heeb, drawing from her decades of experience immediately began to imagine the redesign.

Upon entry, the foyer had the hip ceiling and oversized light fixture removed and LED flat puck lighting installed. A gold starburst chandelier now illuminates the gold and white wavy wallcovering of the once drab, tunnel like space. A console table of black onyx sports a crystal and antique brass table lamp. Under foot, a soft taupe area rug with dashes of black and gold softens the look. French white oak flooring continues through the common areas and bedrooms.

Continuing into the main living area, Heeb created a new focal point through the use of a dramatic black onyx slab with gold veining which extends ceiling to floor and houses a dramatic linear fireplace. Each side is flanked by custom illuminated and mirrored back pearl toned built in cabinetry. A pearl toned sectional, upholstered in performance fabric is adorned with a dramatic combination of black and gold luxe accent pillows. An ivory toned stone top and brass base cocktail table, sculptural occasional chair, ebony wood end table with aged brass hardware atop a tone-on-tone textural rug are enveloped by complementary artwork and accessories to complete the dramatic and inviting space.

From the living area the eye is led through to the newly imagined, glass enclosed former outdoor terrace. Heeb made the area more intimate and put focus on the magnificent views. The structural columns are now graced with dramatic crystal and satin brass sconces. Four swivel chairs in a textured neutral performance fabric surround a gold leather round cocktail ottoman. The newly perfected space is ideal for conversation and dramatic sunset views.

A wall was removed to expand the kitchen/dining area to create an open concept between the living area and kitchen that also formerly obstructed the view. A dry bar in the adjacent living area was redesigned and the space behind it in the original was utilized for widening the kitchen as well. The original outdated kitchen consisted of slab laminate door cabinets, outdated granite countertops and a back lit fluorescent dome ceiling. The kitchen now boasts custom cabinets in an alabaster lightly hand glazed finish. A 10-foot floating island was created crowned with a six-centimeter-thick exquisite Taj Mahal exotic quartzite countertop. The surround countertops are inclusive of a full height backsplash in a durable and heat-resistant neutral quartz. The newly designed space allows for counter height seating on both sides of the island. Thermador and Wolf luxury appliances inclusive of panel fronts create a streamlined and functional cohesion. The sleek designer faucet, cabinet and appliance hardware are in a brushed brass finish. Three elegant lucite and brass pendants light the island. Performance fabric counter stools with burnished brass bases offer ample seating in the beautiful and functional kitchen.

Throughout the interior, gold was introduced through various accents to bring warmth and a sense of opulence. The clients had two primary requests for the kitchen renovation: a counter-height island to accommodate seating and a high level of functionality. They also requested a cohesive color scheme of black, gold, and alabaster throughout the space, which is reflected in the design of the kitchen.

The original kitchen featured outdated laminate slab-door cabinets, old granite countertops, and a backlit fluorescent dome ceiling. A complete redesign was achieved by removing the walls between the breakfast nook and the living/dining areas and repurposing the space behind the original dry bar to expand the kitchen.

These changes allowed for the addition of a 10-foot floating island with seating on both sides. The open layout now connects seamlessly with the living and dining areas, creating a more spacious, functional environment while offering enhanced Gulf views. Removing the dome ceiling created a clean, continuous flat ceiling, updated with LED puck lights and pendant lighting over the island.

Custom cabinets, finished in alabaster with a light hand-glazed treatment, complement the subtle tones of the space. The countertops, with full-height backsplash, are crafted from a durable, heat-resistant quartz in a soft neutral shade. The island’s countertop is a striking Taj Mahal quartzite, with a creamy background and dramatic gold veining, finished with a bold 6 cm mitered edge.

The kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line Thermador and Wolf appliances, including integrated panel fronts for a sleek, streamlined look. Brushed brass hardware on the faucets, cabinetry, and appliances adds a touch of sophistication. Overhead, three elegant lucite and brass pendant lights illuminate the island, while performance fabric counter stools with burnished brass bases provide comfortable seating, blending style with function in this beautiful new space.

Vogue Interiors is creating the interior for Stock Development’s Margo III furnished model at Wild Blue at Waterside. The design will be airy and fresh while featuring crisp whites with hues of fern green and hints of blush and berry. The furniture and fixtures will be contemporary in an inviting, comfortable way. The flooring throughout will feature a smooth, light blond Island Bali Wood in 10 ¼” wide planks, with a decorative inset of mosaic waterjet stone tile in the foyer.

The foyer will lead to a great room with pocketing sliders that open to the outdoor living area. Three drywall beams painted white will span the ceiling tray. The feature wall will be highlighted by a white metallic wall covering. Built-in cabinetry in white with a matching wood top will provide ample storage. A floating shelf above the television will be illuminated by three can lights. Picture framed niches flanking the cabinetry will display decorative wall sconces. A chandelier will emphasize more of the beautiful cascading glass. Two sofas will include a two-cushion seat style with a light-toned performance fabric. Other furnishings will include a bench seat with a green geometric pattern; two octagonal cocktail tables; a circular wood and metal end table; square-armed swivel chairs in a cream and taupe stripe with a green lumbar pillow; and small metallic pull up tables.

The dining area’s oval table will feature a silkscreened pattern in soft silver paint that compliments sloped-arm dining chairs with cream-colored performance fabric. A sideboard console will be placed in a niche featuring an accent wall color. The console will provide storage with three drawers and a low open space with a white marble shelf. The dining light fixture will be an elongated version of the Lotus fixture in the foyer. Sheer fabric with a thin metallic stripe will be used for drapery panels in the dining room and great room.

The kitchen cabinetry will continue the white theme, with the island boasting painted taupe toned shaker style doors. The island’s pendant lights will feature layered droplets of glass and polished nickel hardware. A crystal bloom chandelier over the kitchen table will showcase rock crystals on an antiqued silver base. The countertops will be Blanca Statuarietto quartz. Counter stools with square seats and squared backs will match the style of the dining chairs in the nook. A circular glass top table will feature an open, airy brushed metallic coral-like base.

The cabinetry in the study will offer storage for files and a pull-out shelf. A ceiling tray will be highlighted in an accent paint color and a six-light chandelier in a brushed nickel finish. The open style desk with a pencil drawer and a white faux leather desk chair will anchor the workspace.

The bonus room will open to the outdoor living area. A wet bar with a beverage chiller and a geometric backsplash tile will be set below three floating shelves. A pub table and upholstered stools will offer a gathering place. A sectional sofa covered with an off-white performance fabric and accent pillows will provide abundant seating. An entertainment console with a light gray wood finish will include four-door storage. A cushioned swivel chair in a taupe and white animal print will accompany a side table. An oversized fifty-two-inch square cocktail table will feature a light wooden frame. A circular, 12-light brushed nickel chandelier will be above the cocktail table.

A corridor leading to the master bedroom will be flanked by walk-in closets. The bedroom will be finished in off-white, taupe, and blush tones. The headboard wall will feature a light taupe wallcovering with splashes of sparkle. The headboard fabric will be tufted in sunburst-style channels. An upholstered side chair will be positioned near sliding doors leading to a private outdoor sitting area. Overhead, an eight-light sputnik-style chandelier will present an intricate design.

In the master bathroom, the flooring and shower walls will feature a Calcutta marble-style, large format tile. The walls will be finished with an off-white striped and dotted wallcovering. A white curved freestanding tub will feature a floor-mounted polished nickel filler and hand-held shower.

Furnishings in the outdoor living area will include a metal dining table with a soft gray finish; metal chairs with gray frames; loungers with white metal frames; a sofa with off-white faux leather cushions; matching lounge chairs; a square cocktail table; and a braided outdoor area rug. Four white-framed Adirondack chairs will surround a gas firepit. The outdoor kitchen island will include a gas grill with a stainless-steel hood accented by porcelain tile in a wood plank style. Outdoor-safe cabinetry will have shaker style doors in a gray finish and a natural granite countertop. A gas fireplace will feature a cast stone mantel and a surround adorned with a herringbone stone tile.
